Welcome to Introduction to Adobe Photoshop This is an introductory course designed to explore the process of digital image manipulation using Adobe Photoshop as the primary tool. The course will explore digital image capture thorugh cameras and/or smart phones, digital image manipulation and preparation of images for electronic publication. The training begins with a basic overview of the software including simple functions such as managing documents and palettes. It quickly advances to cover more advanced topics such as image adjustment, manipulation, color correction, brush settings, cloning, healing and other advanced tools. It also includes saving files, layers, type, screen modes, filters, layer effects and many more topics in Photoshop. There will be three assignments. The first assignment will be a collage that is executed in photoshop. The second assignment will be design of a poster or book. The last assignment will address preparing photoshop files for electronic distribution. This will include file formats: animated gif, jpeg and PDF's.
