JPEG
To understand how to create a JPEG and send via email. You will send me via email your collage project. It will be either 17" tall or 17" wide depending whether your collage is horizontal or vertical.

GIF/ANIMATED GIF
To understand how to create a animated GIF. To understand the difference between GIF and JPEG formats. To understand how to create an animated GIF and send via email. The animated GIF will be no more than 5" wide or 5" tall. I will discuss the technique and how to save the file in class.

ADOBE PDF
To understand how to create a Adobe Acrobat file combining Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat. You must send me an Acrobat file via email. It must me 7 pages at 10" square. The seven different pages should each profile some technique learned in class. For example one page could be proficient demonstration of the pattern tool. Another could demonstrate the paintbrush tool. Another could demonstrate changing color (before/after) etc. etc. The final PDF cannot be larger than 8 megabytes.
The tools/techniques that must be covered are:
1. The Clone Tool
2. The Brush Tool including painting with the brush
3. The Pen Tool (outlining an object)
4. Monotone, Duotone etc.
5. Type in a shape or on a path
The above must be included. For the other pages you can choose tools and techniques that interest you. Perhaps the Pattern Stamp Tool.
Will discuss all three assignments in class.
